Brand new Pangolin arrived today. It's beautiful! :)

The wireless connection came with a default in the box of 128-bit pass phrase. I found some info on these boards from 2005 indicating that Ubuntu has trouble with 128-bit pass phrases. I changed Pangolin to 64-hex or something like that. I haven't a clue what any of that means but Pangolin is now a happy member of my wireless network.
I definitely need to be on a notebook. The old slow desktop behemoths in my house are history. One of them was my wife's WinXP and the other was my Mepis box.
Not sure if I can get used to the mouse pad thing. I might break down and buy a mouse. If I do hopefully my favorite Logitech is a Linux user.
Thanks for this excellent machine System76!

Thanks for the kind words.
A logitech usb or wireless mouse will work great. I use both (but, uh... not at the same time ;)).
