I have successfully installed Ubuntu in my Lenovo laptop. :^D It is awesome! (And thanks again for those that helped with the partition problem I had in installation!_ΓL° I am grateful.)
However, when I checked to see of my Windows Vista was still okay, it would not run. Lenovo's "Rescue and Recover 4.0" would run in its stead. How do I make Vista work again?

Thanks again for your time.

Take care.

Sincerely,

Are you sure you didn't remove your vista partition?

Try the "super grub disk" live cd to boot your vista parition and repair the grub.

I am sorry, I do not know too much about computers. Do you mean I should have partitioned Windows first, and then installed Ubuntu?
What is "super grub disk"? You mean the Ubuntu install disc?

Thanks again.

It's possible the entry line for your vista in grub points to the wrong location (partition), assuming your lenovo recovery is on a separate partition. Post the output of your menu.lst file:

cat /boot/grub/menu.lst

Can you open a terminal (Applications → Accessores → Terminal)

and then copy-paste the following into it:
sudo fdisk -l

You will be asked for your password, enter that - even though it doesn't show you entering it, please keep typing ;) - then hit enter, and paste the output here :)
