Hi, i am currently using Ubuntu on my laptop and planning on making a mini-tower PC for the girl running ubuntu. I was wondering if the following setup has drivers on Ubuntu so that i can just toss the disc in and everything is ready to run at that point. Thanks

The base system is here:

i want to add:
Pentium Dual Core: E2180
Buffalo 1GB ram
160GM Sata HD from Hitachi
Sony CD drive

I assume it will be able to run what i want to add (as those are basic) but am wondering if it will run the chipset of the MOBO properly (mainly sound, video, and internet)
Also, would this run Ubuntu well

Thanks again

The i945 chipset is supported according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsVideoCardsIntel, however I dont run intel so couldnt say for sure that the 945G will be the same outcome.
