I'm really looking to change the wallpaper on breezy. It's just too dark and depressing for my liking...
I was looking at the gallery and there are some cool ones on there ... but where can I download wallpaper to use on my own ubuntu ??

cool thanks guys...
I saw this really cool screen on a gentoo machine where the tables are kinda see-thru, so if you, say, open up nautilus you can still see the outline of the wallpaper in the back ground.
What's the story with that ??

It's probably this (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=75527).

I went to the ubuntu gallary. I thought there was some cool stuff there. That's the cool thing about ubuntu. You can customize all you want. It's way better than any other OS.

nah, I was thinking more along the lines of some of the see-thru screenshots like this gentoo site shows.

I think it's a pretty cool effect ... even if it might get kinda annoying after a while...

That's not gnome and metacity. It's a box (i.e...fluxbox) and it looks like the terminal Eterm. Metacity doesn't support trans.

Doesn't matter which window manager it is; the thread I linked above describes how to have true transparency for that "see-thru" effect. If it's transparent terminals in specific that you're after, see this (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=81727).
