I bought a casio PX-100 electric piano. i didn't bother with the more expensive model that had more instrument options, figuring that i could add more through my computer.
i tried for a long time to figure out midi on linux but never got it set up right and eventually gave up. i settled with the keyboard as it is.
the other day, a friend gave me a copy of native instruments. i installed it in virtualbox xp, only to find that the keygen had a virus. and i remembered why i switched to linux in the first place.
so i am back at it. i have jack installed with a gui, rosegarden, fluidsynth/qtsynth, bristol (which crashes every time i open it) and now i have no idea what to do next.
all i really want is to get additional instrument sounds out of my keyboard (B3, Moog, etc...) but i can't figure it out. and i can't find an easy how to guide to set it up.
any help is appreciated...
(i hope i posted in the right place)
