is Windows safer on ubuntu running on VB?

hi im running Windows XP on VirtualBox on Ubuntu 8.04 and I was just wondering is windows safer running on Ubuntu thought the the VB?

Probably not, what happens in windows would not affect the Unbuntu installation.

If you are running a firewall in ubuntu then it might save you from running a firewall in windows. But malware would still be able to send out info.
