Hey, i just installed ubuntu, and i dont want to reinstall a different distro, but i heard that debian is easier to work with, and is more stable?
I might get shot in RL for posting this here, not to sure?

Weeeelllll... Ubuntu essentially is Debian... or at least it's based on Debian. You might want to have a look at this page (http://www.ubuntu.com/community/ubuntustory/debian) (which, of course, iaculallad beat me in posting).
Ubuntu started out as a temporary fork of Debian, and there is still a lot of communication between the two. As for Debian being more stable... I don't know. If it is -- and that's a big "if" -- then I would think it would be marginally at best.

Then try installing either Ubuntu or Debian on your system for private testing. It's best to experience it first hand than to base your assumption on "just heard" readings or conversations.
