3D Animation

Out of all the laptops in your lineup, what one and what options would be the most suited for 3D animation work? I'm soon going to school for 3D Game Animation and since Ubuntu is my OS of choice, system76 seems like an excellent choice to buy a laptop! :)

Right now, the Pangolin Performance with nVidia would probably be the best choice. We will soon have a new Serval Performance with nVidia and a 17" laptop with nVidia.

I don't know much about 3d animation, but it seems to me like the 17" monitor would be very nice.

Are you familiar with Blender? If not, you should check it out. Also download Elephant's Dream and watch it. It was made with Blender.

How soon do you think those laptops are going to become available? My course starts at the beginning of October but depending on how long, I can still wait a bit after my course starts.

And yes, Blender is an amazing piece of software. I should probably start playing around with it more before my classes start hehe.

They are both in the final stages of R&D now. They will be out in early September.
