Asus X50N laptop

Hello i am thinking of getting a new laptop a asus x50n laptop the specs are:-

* Processor - AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-52 1.6 GHz Dual-Core
* RAM - 2 GB (installed) (max) - DDR2 SDRAM
* Hard Drive - 120 GB
* Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium<<<<<this needs to come off
* Screen - 15.4 in 1280 x 800
* Optical Drive - DVD±RW / DVD-RAM
* Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 7000M

Will ubuntu run on this machine?
Does anyone run it on this machine if so any problems with it?

in Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 32 bit / 64 bit everything works
