open office word

My Linux works perfect....except sometimes I try to paste into a open office word and it crashes... anybody running into this..??
overall Ubuntu is excellent and WAY better than windows.

Please elaborate on:
what you're trying to paste,
where you get the item on the clipboard from,
your OO version,
and how you installed OO (repos,deb,make,other).

This used to happen to me when I tried to paste like pages and pages of stuff. Especially stuff with pictures. Doesn't happen when I do only words though. hmmm

MS Word may not crash when pasting stuff but it can corrupt stuff if you are pasting in pictures, If you are pasting pics, try using Insert - picture - from file instead of copying and pasting

That's one of the reasons I now use Abiword which is in syanptic.
