mod_mono autoconfigure sounds worth the upgrade alone. Well... if you're interested in web stuff, at any rate.

Will new mono version appear in backports in the future? Or should I begin to install it manually?

Would be nice to have the new mono and beagle version through a deb repository.

Hear hear! I am using mono and monodevelop every day, and I really want to run mono 1.1.10 and the latest monodevelop. I don't know if it is safe to use the debs supplied on go-mono.net, so I haven't tried. I did try building mono from source into a user-specified directory, but lots of things were broken (I assume that I don't have all the dev tools to build it).

So I would very much appreciate it if mono 1.1.10 could be compiled into backports, as this seems the cleanest and most appropriate approach.
