Hello all.
I have a wireless Asus WL500gP V2 router which works excellent when I try to connect with my laptop or any wireless device.
I have another desktop computer with which I can also connect without any problems using Windows XP.

However when I try to connect to the wireless network using Hardy Heron it doesn't seem to work.

I also saw that this kind of network card doesn't work right "out of the box" so I followed this guide (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=285809&highlight=bcm4318) closely without any success though.

The network card was installed in the machine after I installed Ubuntu. Also I manually installed "ndiswrapper-utils-1.9" and "ndiswrapper-common" as I downloaded them on another PC and copied them to the Ubuntu desktop. So no synaptic was used.

When I try to configure the wireless connection in ubuntu I choose the WPA-Personal encryption as it doesn't have an option for the WPA-Auto-Personal like the router uses. I also changed the router's settings to WPA-Personal but still with no success.

I don't know what else to try so any help would be appreciated. Please feel free to ask questions as I may have forgotten to mention something.
Thanks in advance.
