Hi,

I had a dual boot ( Windows XP and Kubuntu) and I realised I dont require kubuntu for a while. So using "Partition manager" software in windows I formatted the Linux partition ( to NTFS). Later I realise that my system would not boot at all.

I dont have access to Windows recovery CD but I do have a kubuntu live CD. Could someone please tel me a fix to the problem ?

Thanks for any help
Regards
Sankar

Hmm.
Since the boot menu is stored on the Linux partition I would guess that you will have to reinstall GRUB...

There are more methods of fixing the broken MBR. But I would recommend to get windows Recovery CD other wise download Super GRUB Disk from here and start recovering
