Hi guys,
I just e-mailed Realtek asking for the driver for the 8187b card for linux, and a guy named Jason actually responded and gave me the driver!!! Here it is:

Now since im still new to the Linux process how in the world do i remove the old driver and install this one?

you should just be able to remove the driver by removing the folder you saved it to, that's what I did and it worked

I can't believe it, after all this struggling!:):)They say never give up!
Jason sent me a driver for my Toshiba Equium A200-1VO. It seems to be a slightly later version than the one he sent you. Any idea how to crank the power up? The wireless works just fine and dandy until I move 3 metres away from the AP. Then it disconnects. I've asked this of Jason and if he comes good I'll post back here.
Meanwhile, I'm considering solving the problem by getting some elastic cat 5
That'd fix it!
