One thing has led to another to another to another ect. and eventually, somehow???? from ubuntu research I have somehow ended up trying to learn python. I stared with this http://hetland.org/writing/instant-hacking.html tutorial but i dont know how to actually run a text document with "interpreter" can anybody help? THANK YOU:KS

Well, you should read the book that the tutorial recommends.

I don't know exactly what you mean with "text document", I will presume that it's a file with python code, also called a python script. To run it just open a terminal and type:


python filename.py

there is a programming talk sections in ubuntu forums that i i think you may get more help from than here in the generel help forum if you want to study python .
