I am interested in installing KDE and I would like to know how can I install this and could you please tell me whether it will replace my gnome.
Could I keep both so that I can choose the better one. Thank you in Advance.

You can keep as many windows managers as you want. As far as I know install KDE through the app manager and you'll be able to choose which one to boot into each time

mellowd is right. The package your looking for is "kubuntu-desktop".

in synaptics: KDE is a megapackage. ctrl/alt/backspace and then 'options' gives you your selection

On your login screen click on "sessions" and select KDE.

Thank you all guys, now I have got KDE installed and start playing around.
I like the look of it and I do appreciate the choices available in linux systems.
