First- ubuntu worked at the right resolution, but I couldn't do the "advanced effects". So using EnvyNG and trying to do it manually I got the dirvers installed. Now it shows 2 sets of ubuntu's and 2 sets of recovery ubuntus, and autoselects the recovery mode every time. On top of that, no matter if I go to recovery or normal, the screen "resolution problem" comes up when I first get into ubuntu, and the highest resolution I can set it on now is 800x600.

I uninstalled everything dealing with nvidia, and reinstalled EnvyNG, ran it with its GUI(gtk version I think) and it installed fine. Same problem. I had added the -xgl file through system->synaptic, ect, and still don't have it working. I followed several(different) tutorials online so far, but none of them have worked completely.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
