"We are excited to announce the release of Ubuntu CE 4.0! Ubuntu CE has been on hold for quite a while for various reasons, but we are back up and running. This is a "back to the basics" release. We have discontinued most of the Windows program installers that we had a previous releases due to the difficulty in maintaining them and changes in some of the Windows programs that made it very difficult to install them automatically. We have added BibleTime as well as a bunch more resources for BibleTime and Gnomesword. We have replaced OpenOffice with GnomeOffice to keep the iso size below the 700mb threshold. For a complete list of changes check out the ChangeLog (http://ubuntuce.com/changelog.htm). We have also updated the site with a cleaner Web 2.0 feel. Check it out at UbuntuCE.com (http://ubuntuce.com/)."

That's fantastic, Jereme! Unfortunately, it seems as though the website is down due to the bandwidth limit being reached. Hope it's back up and running soon.

God bless,
Eric (MentalNotes)

Suspended Again. A Great problem to have, if there absolutely has to be a problem.
Just to let you know Jereme, many, many, many of us less technical users missed you.
Welcome Back :-)

As many of you see the site is down due to bandwidth usage. If anyone can spare a few dollars I would really appreciate it. I only need 34 dollars to upgrade the server for the next 7 months. This would get things up and running and would really be appreciated. I really don't like to ask for help especially monetarily, but I really want to get the site back up.

If you want to help you can make a donation via paypal to support at ubuntuce dot com

Ok, I have setup a mirror site at the link below.

http://ubuntuce.whatwouldjesusdownload.com

Also the official site (ubuntuce.com) will soon be redirecting to the mirror until the end the month.

I apologize for the issues. Once it was updated on Distrowatch my bandwidth went off the charts. I used over 1000% of my allowed bandwidth. It was over 2 terabytes.! :)

Thanks for all of your patience. I hope to keep things running smoothly from here on out.

God Bless, Jereme

Great to have you back Jereme! I've read about all the nightmares you've gone through getting UbuntuCE going once again. The problems that you've had to face because you did the proper thing is a good lesson to us all. We all need to act properly when the time comes for us to do so. I know this "has" affected not only UbuntuCE, but more importantly this has affected you and your family even more so!

Changing the subject a bit, I have not take the time to go through each and every UbuntuCE topic, but I have found this page containing links, 6.06 all the way to the most current 8.04 UbuntuCE.

Thank You for all your hard work!!

Agape,
Tony

Nice to see you're back, before downloading/installing may I ask one question:

Does the partitioning part of the installation include an option for encryption (as per the Ubuntu alternate install CD)?

Thanks.

Yes, that is the primary mirror link hosted by Oklahoma Christian University.

You know, I am not sure. The latest release is based directly on Ubuntu 8.04 so if it is available there then yes.

Thanks, Jereme
