I have a Toshiba satellite a135-s2276, that uses phoenix bios. I have had problems with the bios many times and its slow as dirt. but I've been hearing allot about flashing the bios with a compact Linux kernel witch may solve the speed problem and eliminate the phoenix issues. so 1 Is there a Ubuntu kernel or one that can load Ubuntu that can be flashed to my bios chip, and 2 if there is how would I do this?

bios them self are slow. because to run them your comp emulates a 16bit processor.
