Hello all,

I'm a experienced web developer looking for new horizons. I want to expand my portfolio and work with great people creating great stuff.

I don't have a portfolio yet and not much to show, other than a recent published project of mine at http://datatransp.com.br, a Plone 3 portal with custom theme and e-commerce functionality.

In the last 4 years I have mainly worked on intranet projects for local companies here in Brazil and freelance (contract) work.

I've been studying and practicing Rails and Ruby for the last 1 year and a half or so. I have built some cool prototypes and dug into the core of the framework, learned about Ruby programming model, its philosophy, metaprogramming (modules, monkey-patching etc), and Rails plugins, generators for agile development.

Another passion of mine is the flash platform. I have worked on it for almost 2 years, until Player 9 came out. Don't have much experience on Player 9, AS3 and Flex though.

I'm also obsessed about web standards. Semantic HTML for structure, CSS for styling and layout, and unobstrusive JS for behaviour. I'm also pragmatic and know when to break these rules, if needed.

If you have any interest, PM me, I'm mainly looking for full-time positions and I'm able to travel anywhere in the world at this point of my life and commit to a certain startup company for example, but other proposals are welcome too!

I'm brazilian but I do speak English fluently, and of course, Portuguese!

Thanks for your time,

Marcelo.

Hello,

I just saw your post and I was wondering if perhaps you'd be interested in some work I have.

I am developing a website for a residential/ commercial painting company and my client has requested a feature that I'm not sure how I would go about doing.

Here is the site as I have it built thus far:
http://netforgeweb.com/beta/monet/custom/index.html

He wants an interactive custom room painter that would load on the "interactive paint selector" page. It would have to use the Benjamin Moore color palettes and be similar to the personal color viewer on their site:
http://www.benjaminmoore.com/bmpsweb...eLabel=fh_home (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/bmpsweb/portals/bmps.portal?_nfpb=true&_windowLabel=portletInstance_2&portletInstance_2_actionOverride=%2Fbm%2Fcms%2FCon tentRenderer%2FrenderContent&portletInstance_2cnp=public_site%2Farticles%2Fmain _page_articles%2Ffh_home&portletInstance_2np=public_site%2Farticles%2Fappli cation_article%2Fapp_personal_color_viewer&_pageLabel=fh_home)

What he wants is for when the program loads to give you the option to select between commercial and residential. If you choose residential for example he wants it to show a house in which you can paint the outside (trim, and siding) using the pallets from Benjamin Moore, similarly to how their online program does it.

He then wants to give users the option of entering the house by click on the door and then giving two or three rooms to paint, (ie: kitchen, bathroom, living room)

The commercial section would work the same way.

Would you be able and willing to work on a project like this? Furthermore, how long would it take and how much would this cost? My remaining budget it $500.00 USD so it would be wonderful if it could somehow fit within this price.

Thank you!
David
