new gaming repo out soon

well all i can say is feast your eyes on this...
a gaming repo ..finaly

i've been waiting for this to happen for a while as the ubuntu repos are very out of date(even ibex).
this will add a lot of games that we can play on our ubuntu boxes.

just wanted to let people know there are other places to get games other than the add/remove.
some good games here too.

but remember this will in no way be supported by Ubuntu and Canonical.
so if you have problems you may find it hard to get an answer.



but lets face it more games = better for everyone


ps no i'm in no way affiliated with them. i'm too busy messing around with intrepid ibex(love sphere desktop)

trademark issue is NOT disappointing... the trademark says that *buntu names can not be used, if other than official ubuntu repos are used... so i think it is justified, don't you ;)

i think there are even now enough *buntu's... this starts to remind me why i hated kde suite - all those things starting with K... and now all things end with buntu

how come? if you or i write a program "x" and call it "kx", is it any better then any other "x" program?

i believe that only programs/repos made by ubuntu developers and maintained by ubuntu developers can be called *buntu

i much rather like the fact that the well established trademark of getdeb lives on in playdeb... *deb

they could go on with all the categories... so that there is a repo for eatch ;)

utilitydeb, internetdeb, appdeb etc etc etc
