not sure if this is the right place for this or whatever, so just giving it a go... has anyone made an AlephOne .deb? or is there any work on such a thing? i think it would be EXTREMELY useful, as i've just spent about 2 hours trying to get all the dependencies straightened out.
just wondering, mostly. my "make-install" is finally finished, so i think i'll go blow away some P'hor now! :D

actually, no i'm not. still can't get the darn thing installed properly... anyone know why its telling me it "couldn't initialize SDL (unable to open a console terminal)" ?
thanks anyway!

I dunno, it works fine for me... did you make sure you have all of the nessisary SDL... stuff? SDL_Sound and SDL_Net and such?

yea. i grabbed them all from the repository. really unsure whats wrong at this point. i'm thinking clean install (been having alot of other weird issues since deleting my recovery partition on my Alienware desktop).
i've killed two desktops and a laptop in the last 36 hours.... i'm really on a roll! :)

ok, it appears that the SDL in the repos is broken. which is REALLY annoying, cause i have a WHOLE bunch of stuff that depends on it that i'm going to have to kill to uninstall it so i can install from source.
