Hi

I would have replied/added on to this thread. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=896788 as I feel it would be the most relevant place to post this.

But my answer to replying is this. (This has been happening a lot lately)

rubinboy, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Any way. I agree with the LinuxIsInnovation I think the thread should be locked as new users are replying to threads designed for information peruses.

My final and main point relates to a post that I made on this thread that was edited Joeb454;

" Reason: edited to same as post above"

This makes NO sense to me and I am completely confused, what puzzles me even more so is where is the post above it seems to have disappeared!!

kevin0045's post is not there any more?

On my previous point. can one not comment on posts made by other people in the Resolution Center forum (unless you are a mod)?

You (and we, mods) are not allowed to post on Resolution Centre threads (technically, although obviously mods do post occasionally, but it is mainly up to the FC, not mods)

So you can't post on Resolution Centre threads, and mods are not normally supposed to.

Also, the reason why your post was editted was because it was quoting spam, and Joeb45 wanted to remove all spam links. That post was later deleted (Joeb45 didn't recognize the spam tactic at first)

Thread in question has been locked

Think that was for the best. I think most allot more stickies that list pure information should get locked earlier on.

Sorry for the confusion :)

overdrank sent me a PM explaining it this morning. Thanks.

@Joeb454, LaRoza (or KiwiNZ) is it against forum rules to have "spam" or personal/links in your signature that do no relate to ubuntu/ubuntuforums?

Also could some one maybe edit/remove my post here.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5645719&postcount=66 It makes no sense any more now that the guys post was removed.

Every time I look at it It makes me think. (boy was he all there when writing that post).

a simple edit to "deleted" would be great thanks guys.

I deleted the post as you requested :)

And links in your sig can be to blogs etc. (mine is) that's fair enough.

Though if it's blatant spam - you'll be asked to remove it

http://www.drugtreatments.com/montana/ I have not read the whole contents of this website. But is it a bad thing to be promoting rehab?

If someone joins and has such a sig, and posts non technically, it is usually a case of spamming.

If people using this site for tech support and such have such links, it is usually OK.
