Heyas, i'm studying at uni, there we use 2 different VM's one for java and one for c++, both in MS Virtual-PC unfortunately due to lame contracts etc they cannot get out of (although they have tried). got to love god-mode NW admins eh.
anyway so i really don't want to have to use the windows vm's as I am allowed to learn on whatever programs and OS i want, so i rebooted in to windows for the first time in 3 weeks or so and made a ubuntu vm in vpc, I got rid of a ton of stuff i didn't need on the system (blue-tooth, printers, video and sound etc)
installed updates, installed WINE, tried to install vpc additions via WINE (This is all so i can wack a ubuntu VM on a 8g USB).
So additions seemed to install... but i got no mojo
surely there must be a way to make this work as it is just software!!!, and i wasn't sure whether this topic belongs in virt. or wine.
so yea if anyone has any ideas pls let me know.
