I have been running Hardy Heron now for quite some time on several different machines.
About 3 weeks ago I got a new Lenovo T61p and of course I installed it on there.
Been running great for quite a while now, but I noticed that a few days ago whenever I get to my desk in the morning, it is at the login screen even though I know that I left it in screensaver the night before.
It really sucks because not only does it kill whatever I am working on in Ubuntu, it also kills my VMware computers as well.
I found a couple of threads on this in the archive, but no one ever figured it out so I don't know why it is archived and supposedly a 'dead' thread.
I am pretty much a business type of user, I don't use any of those special appearances apps, in fact I have all that turned off. The only thing I do like is the Circuit screensaver which I have my laptop go to whenever it is idle for over an hour.
I must admit, I have had more issues with Hardy Heron than any of the previous versions...
Why is it that Hardy Heron can't play more than one sound app at a time? I like to listen to NPR over the web and then hear a beep or notification from another app once in a while?
I sure hope they fix these issues in the next release, I started learning Linux using Ubuntu, and I would hate to have to go to another brand because of these issues...
Besides the bugs in Heron, Ubuntu Rocks! I can't believe I used Windoze for soo many years...If only I could go back in time....
