Hi everyone,
I dual boot Vista and Hardy I noticed that in Hardy I can detect wireless networks which vista can not. It seems to me that Hardy has more wifi range than Vista. Has anyone else noticed this?

or maybe vista just has another threshold for minimal signal strenght when showing you list of visible APs.

Its possible. Is there anyway to adjust the threshold in ubuntu?

I don't know if the driver for the wireless adapter can be configured/compiled with a threshold, but maybe the program using the information can be set to a different threshold.

I actually found the opposite with my dual-boot!
They're usually the same but occasionally ubuntu can't see networks vista can, probs just coincidence...
