I've had this thought for a while and I'm finally going to dive into it, but I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to do it.

I have a pretty nice gaming machine, capable of running two instances of WoW thru wine, on full, at once with 40+fps each. I've been using it to dual-box characters on my second account thru the game. I recently picked up a logitech g11 keyboard, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to set it up for multi-boxing. I've seen a couple of setups but they're all windows based. The idea I have is based on the fact that with linux it should be much easier to ultimately send keystrokes, namely the macro buttons, to a second window without having to switch to it. Problem is, I have no clue what so ever on how to pull this off..

Ultimately, what I figure I need to do as a base is obviously get the G11 extra macro keys working (which they are). Second, I need to get a way to setup metacity/launchers so that my second WoW instance has some sort of custom window title, like "WoW macroed." Using the custom window title, I should be able to script up something to work on top of the X11 keybindings so that when keystroke <G1 button> comes thru, automatically send this keystroke to window titled "WoW macroed." This should be possible ANYWAYS thru modifier keys, but the logitech's extra buttons make it a lot easier.

I'm looking for advice from fellow linux people on the possibility of this, if there's an easier way, or guidance on the execution of this. Remember, the goal here is to NOT have to alt+tab between screens. Although I have two monitors setup, and would have both sessions loaded on each, I want to ignore one of them as much as possible. For the WoW initiated, I have an epic'ed out level 70 warlock (armory "spydirweb"), and a level 61 priest (armory "dasuberheals"). The goal here is to use my warlock to run around slaughtering mobs, running the priest thru zone quests. All while the priest is healing me and my pets thru the onslaught. Granted, I know my warlock can handle himself thru all of this, but the more I can reduce downtime the better. Also, once it's setup right, I can potentially run them both at once in groups and raids. The other idea I had was writing an addon based on healbot that would send tells to my priest as to healing assignments, but I can't help but think that's breaking the EULA somehow.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to some discussion on this!
