World of Warcraft crashes at startup

Hello everyone, I've recently installed World of Warcraft on Ubuntu Hardy Heron, and I'm having the problem that it wont start. It launches as far as the PLAY screen, then plays the introductory video. Then nothing. It just crashes/quits as if it had never started.
Anybody hear of a similar situation?

Similar problem here in Kubuntu 8.04 Hardy.

I installed wow and it runs fine except I can't use it as I have a Burning Crusade account. So I install this and it opens the game fine and tells me to restart to install the patches. All is good, but as soon as I install the latest patch for TBC the game will nto start. Like you said, I can watch the intro video but then after that it always crashes and gives an error. I attempted full install of wow and TBC twice now to see if the same problem occurs and it does :(

Sucks.
