This is the only .exe file that I have had problems with while using wine. I am using wine version 1.1.2 (the newest version). When I double click on the VisualBoyAdvance.exe nothing happens, I even tried running the program through the terminal by using wine home/user/desktop/visualboyadvance.exe with no success, (it says it cannot find file, but I know it's there) Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

There is actually a linux version in the repositories, along with a graphical front end. No need for wine. The only problem I am having with it is that it is very choppy, so I am not sure if it is just poorly coded, my roms are bad, or if my configuration is way off.

I am trying to get the version of VisualBoyAdvance called VBA Link working (which is VBA with multilayer capabilities), it is not available in Linux so that's why I've been trying to get it to work in wine. But is so weird that the file won't even open.

Maybe mfc32.dll (or mfc42.dll) is missing. That is my problem duting the past days. But then don't download mfc32.dll on the net and paste it in your system32 folder. It will only hang. I tried it.

I tried the dll and it did not work, the exe just doesn't do anything, I have the options set so that all programs are run in a virtual desktop, but nothing ever comes up
