hi guys!
any of you know how to record from system mixer? i can easily do this in windows but i dont know how to do this in ubuntu.
i have installed audacity because the sound recorder in gnome seems to be only able to record from input devices like mics and line-ins. if all else fails, my last option is to connect my speaker out to my mic input and record using that.
the howtos in the internet were mostly for streaming audio and recording using mic and line in. i could not find how to record from the system mixer. in audacity i tried setting the input device to my default alsa device and start recording but it doesnt record. any ideas?
