Compiz & AWN not working - resolution problem

Hi,

I am trying to run compiz and AWN but I have an extended desktop set up, and thus, my resolution numbers are high to span across my laptop screen and my monitor. I have found that this is an issue but was wondering if anyone knew of a work around or fix.

I think this ha become broken in the last week or so, as I am having the same issue but it worked previously.

Okay, Xgl was not installed. I did this and now I am getting this error on my resolution:


The X Server does not support the XRandR extension. Runtime resolution changes to the display size are not available.


Is there a way to still have my extended desktop and run this?
