as far as I know there is no way to do that.. (I am guessing you are thinking something like Wine but for mac or so..)

the mac install files are kind of special, and as far as I know there is no way to install it as native programs in Linux.

if I am wrong then I am sorry and sure someone with proper knowledge will correct the information.

No, I don't think there is. Since apple depends on the quartz system I dont think anything like Wine has really been developed.

No but you can run them through MOL (http://mac-on-linux.sourceforge.net/) or if ibm mac try a virtual machine (http://www.virtualbox.org/)

I don't know the state of mol on Ubuntu but ran it on Debian etch

true, but on occasion particular ubuntu apps can compile from source in OS X.

I use the term Ubuntu Apps loosely. Open Source Apps is probably a more appropriate description.

touche.

I don't really consider console UNIX apps "OS X apps" though. OS X implies it relies on cocoa.

You could just install OS X, use PearPC :)
