Hi there folks,

I am having major problems since an update two days ago to Hardy Heron which went wrong. I can now no longer do any admin tasks or any sudo commands. I get an eror in the terminal sudo: "must be setuid root"
All the files in the file system are set to my user id and to my group instead of root.
I cannot access any network as dbus appears not to be running but as I acn't do any sudo commands I can't start it.
Tried with recovery boot but still can't get anywhere.
Any Ideas?

Dell Dimension C521 amd 64.
I've searched the forums but can't find anything that fits:(

Sorry to reply to my own post but I have discovered that dbus seems to have been removed. As I have no net connection how do I re-install it?
Remeber I have no sudo command!:(

It seems as if nobody has come accross this problem so after I backed up my home directory I did a re-install and now all working again.
If this had been "Windows" I would have expected a virus!
