Try to using just external monitor on macbook 3.1

Hi..

I have a MacBook machine v.3.1, and I was try to use just the external monitor that I have it, without using the display of my MacBook.

I try to do that with Screen Resolution application but without success :( and it still make it works together as a clone.

In another distributions as openSUSE I enable to set my macbook display to off, and using only the external monitor.

Any idea to do this please?

As you know, my machine graphics card is Intel GMA X3100, and I 'm using ubuntu 8.04.1
