I get the games(CS 1.6, Defcon, Team Fortress Classic) to run in wine, but whenever I click it shows the desktop. I tried making wine emulate a virtual desktop, but then whenever I click it shows the "Wine system tray". Any help?

You don't need to run Defcon with wine. There is a Linux-verson avaiable.

It's very odd, it's almost like you have a focus problem - have you tried Alt-Tabbing out of the program and then back into it to make sure you have focus?

Otherwise, can you give us more information about your system? Version of Ubuntu, version of Wine, something about how you're running your games and what's in your computer?

Ubuntu version 8.04. I'm not sure the version of wine, but i got it using apt-get. I'm running the games throught steam. My graphics card has 64mb gfx ram. I have 512mb RAM, and a 3.33 GHZ processor. These games worked fine in windows.

Yes I was in focus of wine.
