Hey everyone,

When I try to install my copy of 1/2 life (I bought it during me minilimp XP days when I didn't have a broadband but rather a dial up connection, nonetheless I wanted to play the game. . . .
imagine how long that took.)

Using wine (everything is up-to-date as far as I can tell) I get the "Steam" installer started. I hit "next" a couple of times and we ultimately come to that moment when they expect me to read those lines of text before I click on "yes I agree to the end user license agreement"
or something like that

look, I have owned this copy for almost a year and now I can't play it because my gui or whatever wont let me highlight the "i accept the EULA" part. . .
seriously
worst linux experience ever.

when I run the "setup.exe" in a "wine" command; I cannot click on the little circle that indicates that I agree to the license term agreement.

please help me

I don't know specifically about your problems, but I just followed this guide: http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=17 to install Steam (ignoring the HL2 parts) and it worked perfectly.

Only thing I needed to do extra was to install the Tahoma font, I followed the description here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=477836

Oh, and it did hang a lot of times at 26-27% as it says in the guide, but keep trying. It will work eventually.

I am using the very latest wine, 0.9.1, directly from winehq's own repositories. That may also make a difference.

Good luck!
