I have tried all the usual suggestions from multiple forums. Ie: update Wine, reinstall wow, run in opengl, enter this into the config.wtf.

I think it's some kind of display problem. When wow starts up, the screen changed modes, then wow crashes and goes back to a super blocky desktop. It gives me a window that I can barley read, I figured out the window says this program has encountered a critical error. I must restart the computer from here.

If I uninstall wine, reinstall it. Then it says opengl.dll failed to initialize. I then run envy and it goes back to the first problem.

I have an ATI Radeon 6550.

I have been at this for days, what the heck is going on?

Try changing your config.wtf to the same reaolution as your native desktop and see if that helps?

What would be the line to insert for that?

I figured out the screen resolution problem, still nogo.

The screenshot actually worked even though the screen was blurry, so I figured out what the error window says:

This application has encountered a critical error.
Error #143 Fatel Condition
C:\my path to wow
Unable to associate local address with socket:
The socket is already bound to an address,
or the parameter is a listing socket.
Press ok to terminate the application.

Well I fixed that/

Now I get error #132
"The memory cannot be read"

Back to square one.
