Hi,
I've got Qjackctl and Ardour (Qjackctl is audio routing and Ardour is Digital Audio Workstation software) installed on my MB-Air.
QJackctl seems to run fairly well here and surprisingly, it runs both the Alsa driver AND the Oss driver.
What isn't working is when I'm in Ardour and I try a recording just using (hoping for) the built-in MBA microphone to capture sound. I get no wave form, no sound at all.
Ardour runs fine in its own way - the cursor moves correctly like a capturing track, but there's nothing coming in.
I've checked my sound settings and have tried synchronizing the capture source (say, alsa or oss) with whatever is set in Qjackctl. But that seems to make no difference or maybe I'm not doing something right.
I appreciate any help anyone could offer. Also, FYI, I appreciate any and all replies, but I won't be able to respond until later this evening.
Many Thanks,
Frank B.
