Second-time Ubuntu user here. After an unsuccessful attempt at Linux Mint I decided to re-install Ubuntu. I currently have a triple-boot setup: Leopard on a 130GB partition, XP on a 60GB partition (partitioned through boot camp, but installed manually), and Ubuntu on a 40GB partition. No swap or anything else like that. And this is on an out-of-the-box 20" Aluminum Intel iMac.
The problem: When in Ubuntu, I can't access the internet or even find my home network. I have a direct ethernet connection, so I'm not dealing with any wireless issues. Last time my network configured itself automatically and I didn't have this problem. I re-downloaded the .iso and burned it two more times (on the slowest burn speed) and still I can't even get access from the LiveCD. The stickies in this forum don't help and I have no clue where to start. Suggestions?
