That I can't figure out...

Okay so the backend is recording and you decide, you want to watch something else. So how do I get mythtv to change change channels without.

get into program guide, find the program that is recording, get to the menu, tell it to stop, exit to the main menu, go back into program guide, find the program you want to watch and then and then tell it to change channels.
Any help apprecated!

You could either buy a second tuner card, and thus avoid this conflict (maybe, this would allow you to record multiple shows at once).

Or you could go into recorded programs and delete the show in there (You might just be able to tell it to stop recording.)

Or you could tell her to step into the next century and stop watching commercials. Live TV is lame ;)

Or you could decide to watch what you have decided to record.

I do look forward to these type of threads (the significant other test), because I try to alter how things occur to make a better user experience. But really, if you tell it to record something, why would you want to then not have it record?

Just because it's set to record doesn't mean that you can't go into recording programs and watch it while it's recording.

Oh, and sorry to burst your bubble, but unless you live near China, it isn't live.
