Hi, thanks for viewing
This was my first time using either GIMP or Inkscape, I had a (very long) play around - what do people think of the results? I'm curios of what to do with it next?

I don't understand mood... Background is lite yellow, mood is happy, "easy like Sunday morning". On the other hand, there are black wings, like opposite angel, and scull. Light from sky is like some blessing...
One composition element is in opposite with the other. Image should have a story.
I sorry for criticism, but I had good intensions

Hey, Phantomjoker, did you make those hexagonal light shines on the picture? It looks neat with them, man! :)

I've got to admit I didn't create them - they come as an effect in GIMP i was playing with - but if you don't use GIMP, they are very easy to make.
If you want the effect name - or how to make them just ask.
Thanks :)

Yes, I do use The GIMP :) And yes, I'd like to know the name of that effect and whether it comes by default with The GIMP or I should find it and add it, though.

to use the effect, in GIMP go to -
filters,
light and shaddow,
gradient flare.
You have lots of differant types - experiment...
I think you get the effect as standard, if not then it is in one of the following packs -
gimp-data-extras
libgtk1.2
- but like I said - i think it comes as standard.
hope this helps
