imac g3 (400mhz slot loading 512 ram) and usb wifi adapters

Hi. I recently acquired an imac g3 that's running Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" (as described in the title) that doesn't have an airport card installed (I would much rather not buy one as they are still quite expensive online for some reason) and was wondering what usb wifi adapters are compatible with it. Works fine under linux on with the ralink drivers. I cant remember if I used it under ppc other than in osx, but I have used it under linux.

I've not tried this device personally, but the ZyXEL ZyAir G-220 v2 mentioned at:

has been verified by Murray Cumming to work "out of the box" on Ubuntu Gutsy, and supports WPA 2 encryption.

If you are looking for at a DWL-G122 make sure it is a hw rev. C. An A1 will NOT WORK with a mac (YES I TRIED) A2 sometimes, B1 sometimes.. C's use the R-link drivers, work.

I purchased one on ebay.. black from Hong Kong, received it in 7 days. $20 after shipping. It is an RTL (R-link) chipset.. works on 10.4 and above...

Check that as well.. with an Imac 400 what OS X are you running? 10.3.9?

i would like to add that the DWL-G122 Rev D is also not compatible with Ubuntu at this time. i put in about 3 or 4 hours this week to no avail.
