I have Hardy installed on a PC and it was a breeze. It made Vista installation look like pure masochism.
However, I have another machine, an Acer L1800 with an OEM version of Vista + a Pinnancle nano USB and a Bluetooth Mouse. It was making a barely acceptable effort to manage TV and music in a home theatre set up. This is in France with french lang. software and HDTV via antenna.
The computer is opaque with the Acer overlay on Vista. Microsoft downloaded SP1 for Vista and it crashed. Having got it up again the results are not worth further investment in time.
I want to put Mythbuntu on the job but am reluctant to remove Vista until I am sure it will do better.
Mythbuntu installation seems to have restricted Ubuntu features and not much flexibility in disk partitioning etc.
Can it coexist with Vista and if so how do I configure the partitioning and boot?
Would it be easier to load HH and then add Myth?
