I am trying to install Descent II on my computer. One problem... it is only for windows! However, I did install wine and, after making sure it worked by installing other windows programs, i tried to install D2. But about 5 lines in, it aborts, saying that "there is no CD rom" and that it must install from a CD rom. I also tried copying the files to the hard drive but i get the same error. anyone have this same problem with D2 or other games?
*EDIT* OK, wine is having trouble reading data from the cd drive. I guess what i am looking for is a way to tell wine where to look when to get info from the cdrom. (please correct me if i am wrong)
