FIXED: it seems a made a noob mistake, on windows you opt the disc in when ever, but on linux you need to put in the blank disc first,mount it, then open a burning program

this happens when i try and burn an audio cd. any help would be appreciated.

He does not see a burner!!

Try different burn software, try more things.

i have tried other burn software. it seems to be the same kind of error in each program.

Then that should lead you to believe you have an actual hardware problem(likely), or your drive is not being detected properly and burning can't be done..(possible).. If several programs are giving you the same error, I would suspect a hardware malfunction.
