Hi!

I recently complained about the lack of action taken when I reported an insulting post. Well, again I have been insulted, but by a different person. I reported the post a couple of hours ago but as of yet, not action has been taken. The post in question is:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5588270&postcount=118

well I'll just ignore you, as truculent child. Whine in your corner all you want, I'll wait until you grow up :)

To be honest, I'm sick of this "argument by insult" trend that is happening in Programming Talk. This has been frequent for a while now, but I have only just started reporting the posts. In fact, the following post highlights what I mean:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5580789&postcount=3

I find it furtherly irritating that no action is taken. I understand that moderators and administrators do not want to take action against single "one-off" offences. They are frequent.

In fact, when I look at other posts in the Resolution Centre it appears there are double standards. For example, in this thread:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=885399

A warning was issued for calling LaRoza a "doodie head"; presumably a poorly received joke. Well, surely the issue I am reporting is "worse" for the reason that pmasiar's comments were not well intended. And, yes, double standards can't always be helped, but under review there is no reason why this couldn't be put right.

I'm disappointed,
Lster

Please have a little patience. Staff are busy and this is a large and very active Forum. I will look at this and get back to you

Sorry, I probably should have waited a bit longer.

Thank you.
