Is it possible to make a sane backport in breezy? Especialy the latest sane-backends(1.0.16). The backport will make it possible to some users to use their cheap scanners, because 1.0.16 includes the genesys backend.

Thnx

Hawkril

PS.: Sorry about my bad english.

Bump this up when we get 1.0.16 in Dapper.

I also would like to see sane 1.0.16 in the repository (backports). That version make my scanner work (finally)
When do you think it will be in the repository?

Apparently 1.0.17 is due out 11/12/05 according to the sane mailing list. I wonder if dapper is waiting to update straight to this version? I hope so, my scanner is waiting anxiously :)

Any word on this? I need it for my old Pa to be able to copy his jokes to pass out when he visits the VA hospital. He got a Lexmark All-In-One for Christmas, and no one bothered to check with me for compatibility (and they only spent $35 at Wal-Mart for it). Blasted new-fangled contraptions!

Is this request out of the loop now it's in deferred?
