Hi All

I am getting to grips with MythTv media center. I have just been asked have i run Mythfilldatabase or is Mythfilldatabase running.I am sorry but i don't know where to start to find a Mythfilldatabase.

Mythfilldatabase is the script that fills your schedule database. Mythbuntu's pretty aggressive about running it because it doesn't really work very well without some programming data.

I wish it were a little smarter about it, but I can see the challenges associated with knowing whether or not it needs to be re-run after fiddling with the backend.

This shouldn't be confused with the "stopping the backend" message you get before entering myth-setup. In that case, you need to stop the backend because you're fiddling with its settings, and it asks you because it won't be recording during this time. I think that's the case.
