Hi
I have been using ubuntu 8.04LTS now for 6 weeks and loving it . I still do the dual boot thing with windows xp to use certain applications. Over the last 24 hours when I want to boot into Ubuntu I get this Busybox......(initramfs)_ message. I can still boot into windows with no problem.

If there is anyone out there that experienced a similar issue and have a solution please let me know. I am new to linux and ubuntu and would love to keep on using it

Thanks.

Suddenly getting busybox the way you describe, suggests that there was an improper shutdown or hardware removal on the xp system. The easiest thing I can think of is to clear the system cmos. Unplug the power and remove the battery for about 15 minutes. If this is a tower, you'll need to remove the internal battery or move the cmos jumper in and out.
