Hi,
Just received a spam message from user flowers00. It contains a link that looks like a forum link asking if that's my thread, but it points to www[dot]preownedwatches[dot]us.

EDIT: <offending spam removed>

Drop a note to the moderators, so they can check out the user. Also be careful of putting suspicious links in publicly viewable threads.

I banned that user this afternoon (it's now 00:04 where I am)

I've read most of this thread and a few other relevant ones, but couldn't find a clear answer who to report the spam to, and just created a new thread.

Basically - forward the message to a mod

Drop a note to the moderators, so they can check out the user.

That was my first thought, but with so many moderators I didn't know who to send it to, so I just posted here. The idea was that the first available moderator/admin would see it and deal with the offending user accordingly.

Also be careful of putting suspicious links in publicly viewable threads.

Sorry about that. Although I checked the link first to make sure it isn't harmful.

Anyone in particular, or just whoever is online when I see the spam?

Any mod that is online will likely be happy to deal with it

Try LaRoza, Joeb454, jacobmp92, Oldsoldier2003, p_quarles

These mods seem to be on most of the time.

Are you calling me a forum addict? or borg?

If it's the 1st I'm not amused...if it's the 2nd...well you let out my big secret, and I'm not amused

;)

Neither. I just noticed who is banning most of these spammer(s) attacks.

Forward all spam pm's to LaRoza. She lives here, so she can always help :)

But not as Joeb45 says. I am not "happy" to deal with it.

oh, fair enough. Perhaps happy wasn't the right word

No, it wasn't.

If spam makes you happy, you have issues (I mean, more issues)

:lolflag: Spam doesn't make me happy, getting rid of it makes me slightly happier however ;)

Reporting spam through www.spamcop.net sometimes makes me happy, particularly when I'm finished reporting it all.
